ABOUT:
It started with a question: what happens when words stop being language and start feeling like a body?
I conceived and directed this installation by combining typography, projection and sound to explore the body as a political territory — controlled, observed and resistant. It was never intended for a gallery. The first edition took place at Exale Tap Brewery during London's E17 Art Trail, with projections appearing across different public spaces.
The project brought together writing, analogue photography, sound and motion. Each writer contributed a text that I translated into kinetic typography, while Helena Alder documented the interventions and developed the exhibition using large-scale plaster panels.
What struck people most wasn't the aesthetic on its own, but the mix of disciplines — the sense that everything had body, dimension, not just image. The project continues to evolve through new collaborations and future exhibitions.
