ABOUT:
Embodied Resistance explores what happens when language moves beyond the page and into the world.
Inspired by the impact of political and social language on our everyday lives, the project examines how words shape emotions, influence behaviour and leave lasting traces on the body. Language is not only read or heard; it is experienced, remembered and carried with us.
Through typographic projection, words become temporary interventions in public space. Projected onto streets and buildings across London, the works bring language into everyday life and invite new encounters between text, place and people. The photographic series documents these interventions and their relationship to the urban landscape.
Developed in collaboration with Helena Alder, writers and sound artists, Embodied Resistance explores how creativity, community and shared experience can become powerful forms of resistance.
